The Yoga Shala

The Yoga Shala offers a variety of yoga classes, including Ashtanga Yoga, breathing and relaxation, kids yoga. We also host monthly kirtans (chanting sessions), retreats and charity events.

Yoga is about connecting to yourself, understanding your needs and moving toward improved physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Yoga is a way to keep the body healthy and strong and it is also a tool to access the mind. In a physical yoga practice we use the body to impact on the mind and over time achieve more balance and greater happiness in our lives. Yoga also teaches us to treat ourselves and the world around us in a respectful manner. We start to understand that everything we do and say has an impact on the world around us.

The Yoga Shala supports the Green Day Out to help give voice to the message that we need to be aware of our actions and that ech one of us can make a difference. Our actions have the power to have a devastating or a positive impact on our communities. Be the change that you want to see in the world.
